C-ya Sandy…

As the winds die down & the cold lingers, that is not all, our precious beaches have extensive amounts of damage.

We live far enough inland that other than some wind and rain we (our families) got lucky. My friends on the coast, not so much. The outer banks has so much meaning to Andy and I because that’s where we got married. Looking at the images of the devastation breaks my heart and knowing that Captain Robin Walbridge of the HMS Bounty probably went down with the ship kills me. We are thankful that the Coast Guard was able to rescue those that survived the sinking ship.

This storm will never be forgotten. I know that North Carolina got fairly lucky as we did not take a direct hit. I cannot imagine if we had.

Hatteras Island is where we were married in the town of Frisco. Check out the slide show at Island Free Press

To our friends up north stay safe and know that we are praying for you guys.
