Down with the old and Up with the new

Yesterday after all my exams were done, Andy and I got busy working on a small project we’ve been wanting to do for a LONG time. We replaced the shutters on our house. Our old shutters were just blah and boring. At one time 12 years ago when they were put up i’m sure they were all shiny and new, but it was time for them to GO!

So Andy got to work and painted the new ones to match our door and took down the old boring… ugly ones.

I just love the look of the new ones. We are the only ones in the neighborhood with these kind of shutters.

So here you have it… before (old, boring, and blah)

And the after… (new, bright, and cheery) these make me happy!
They look more red in the pics than they are in real life. We are working on decorating for Christmas too. So i’ll post some pics of that later in the week!

The door and shutters were painted with Rust-Oleum Door Paint in Cranberry. We love it!

Doing any sprucing up before the holidays?
