One Year…

Andy and I celebrated our one year anniversary this past Sunday. Although he worked all weekend we did take time to have a nice dinner at a local steak house (where I ordered Mahi). It was amazing. When we got home we cut the top layer of our cake saved since the wedding. It was just as yummy as the day it was made. The only downside was the butter cream icing has a weird texture and there is NO WAY we’ll eat the entire layer. I’m debating on just tossing the rest.

We watched the DVD of our pictures that our photographer put together for us. With the music and the memories of such a wonderful day…I was in tears within the first five minutes. HA…i’m a sucker for my husband in a suit. The memories of that day will always…ALWAYS stay fresh in my mind. We had the best time with our friends and family and I’m so happy to have found someone who makes me complete.

Hand & Hand

I have friends that have been having the hardest time in their first year of marriage. I feel exceptionally lucky to say we have been great. No doubt we’ve had issues with my dad and his mom, but that is not us…WE are US.

Below is our wedding vows…not so traditional but perfect for us and our beach side wedding.

On the dock

As we stand beside the ocean tide,
may our love always be as constant and unchanging
as these never-ending waves that pour beneath our feet,
flowing endlessly from the depths of the sea;
your love came softly upon my heart,
just as the foam comes softly upon the sand, and
just as there will never be a morning without the ocean’s flow,
so there will never be a day without my love for you.
I pledge myself to you this day.
Our love will be as unchanging and dependable as the tide;
as these waters nourish the earth and sustain life,
may my constant devotion nourish and
sustain you until the end of time.

Up Top....If you notice our photographer is on the ground taking a picture of us up top.

As our hearts are joined and we begin our new life together, we pause to look at everyone here on our special day. We find it difficult to put into words our feelings to those who share our love and happiness. Words seldom go quite deep enough when thanks should be expressed. We would like at this time to thank those who wish us well. We would especially like to thank our family who not only wish us well, but who are always there when we need them.
